Deciding Who To Invite To Your Event

As you sit down and make out the guest list to your next event, you may come across some thoughts from last time. Perhaps you are not all that happy about the way that your friend and sister got along. Perhaps the fight between your cousins was just too much and ruined the entire event. What can you do to make sure that this does not happen again? As the host of the party, one thing needs to be kept in mind. It is up to you to choose who you will invite and it is up to you to make sure that only those you want attend your event. With that in mind, there's more to consider.
It can be difficult to plan an event when there are people who should be there, who you would like to be there, but who will not get along with others that you are inviting. As a host it is very hard to make decisions about who will come and who will not. There are some ways to handle this, though, with the hopes that everyone will be able to get along. First, consider whether or not there is any hope of the two people getting along at the same event. If you hope so, but are not sure, you may want to give each a phone call and politely ask them to respect your wishes of a peaceful event. This may seem difficult to do but it can help to hold off arguments to another day.
On the other hand, you may decide that it just cannot work. One option to getting around this is to have some guests come during the day and others later in the day. While this is not the most productive nor the most social way to go, it may be necessary to find a way to separate the two. You may even want to plan two separate events so that everyone can enjoy the point of the evening without any problems.
Your guest list may be hard to narrow down especially when there are some people that you do not want to invite. Remember, it is your party and you get to invite who you do want to be there and not invite those you do not. While it may seem harsh, it is often the only option in some families to make such decisions.
